Arriving at the AC/DC concert
Hey,
Sunday, August 17, 2025, it’s going to get loud in Karlsruhe – AC/DC is rocking the Messe. To help you arrive relaxed and on time, we’ve gathered the most important travel info for you:
1. Road closures around the Messe
On the day of the event, the B 36 will be completely closed between Herrenalber Straße and the Hohlohstraße / Lindenallee junction – from 5:00 AM until 5:00 AM the next day.
A wide detour will be in place via B3, L605 and the Südtangente.
You’ll find the closed section marked in red and suggested detours in yellow on the map. Please plan extra time for your journey.

2. Parking & shuttle buses
There’s no parking directly at the Messe – that area is reserved for shuttle buses only. Instead, Park & Ride spaces are available at Wildparkstadion, Durlacher Allee, and the Daimler site in Wörth.
Important:
All parking spaces require a ticket and must be booked in advance via the official portal (booking available soon).
Shuttle buses run every 5 minutes to and from the venue – with around 110 buses operating.
3. Public transport (ÖPNV)
- Your concert ticket is also valid for public transportation on August 17 in the KVV and BW-Ticket areas.
- The S2 tram takes you directly to the stop “Messe / Leichtsandstraße.” Nightliner buses will run approximately every 30 minutes until 3:00 AM.
- The rail replacement service between Ettlinger Tor and Durlach runs every 5 minutes from noon until 1:00 AM, then every 10 minutes until 3:00 AM.
- Please do not use bus line 106 or the Forchheim stop – there’s no direct connection to the venue from there on this day.
- More details available here.
4. Concert day schedule
- Entry: 2:00 PM
- Concert starts: approx. 3:00 PM
- End: approx. 10:30 PM
Between 3:00 and 6:00 PM, traffic is expected to be particularly heavy – if possible, please arrive earlier.
After the concert, wait times of up to two hours are possible – staff will guide you through designated waiting zones for an orderly departure.
